ANNETTE BUCKLEY

Annette is one of the finest contemporary Cork vocalists/songwriters of her generation. Originally it was her much enthused performances at the Lobby Bar, Cork that increased her once murmuring fan base into a cascade of local public recognition. To witness Annette Buckley on stage is an experience nothing short of religiously spiritual. A magnificent voice carries an endless flow of al lyrics. Each syllable, one feels, is born of that rare place where few souls go, and fewer still have gone and survived. It is a place where the eye of innocence stares into the darker outposts of humanity, and returns more deeply wise. Her debut album "the ever changing colours of the sea" due out in April 2005. Annette also features in the "Reflections of Cork" book. This is in association with the European Capital of Culture 2005.

Together with his band “The New Skylarks” he has featured on the T.V. series and c.d. -‘Other Voices-songs from room’ and also on ‘The diamond mountain sessions’ compilation alongside Steve Earle and others. His music crosses many divides and has also been recorded by Karen Casey, Danú and Any old time etc. Ger celebrates the re-launch of his earliest c.d. GAVIN MOORE

Born in New Bridge Co Kildare, Gavin grew up in cork, with the influences from uncles Christy Moore and Luka Bloom. Gavin has developed his own distinctive style musically this singer/songwriter is most definitely his own man. His soulful voice with its great range, sets him apart, not just from the sound, synonymous with his family, but also from his peers. Gavin's debut album "until today" was launched in July 2004 and is highly recommended . Gavin performed at last year's Lisdoonvarna Festival and this year featured on both line-ups for the 'Bush Comes to Shove' gigs at Vicar St.
